Welcome to the blog! Over time this will be a collection of my thoughts and random ideas about all sorts of things, but for now my attention is on one thought:
I'm going to be a daddy!
Jess was due this past Sunday, and this morning we had another checkup. After the ultrasound and a few other tests, we were told it was time to be off to the hospital! Unfortunately, this wasn't quite what we had in mind! We were told it was going to at the hospital for a few days (!?!?) because it would take that long to induce her. As much as we both love, hospitals, spending a few days and nights with bad food and hard beds was not quite the magic moment we were hoping for! So we've been here for about 12 hours now, and we're starting to get settled in. Jess is starting to have more regular contractions, so hopefully we will see our little bundle of joy sooner than anticipated. But for now, we wait....

Didn't you know that people don't have anything better to do than sit on your blog and hit refresh every 5 minutes hoping, in their heart of hearts, that you posted again? It might be time for a live webcam so that we don't have to wait as long.
